Rosby Gallery Mudgee, 6 Sept 2025

I am currently exhibiting a body of work (24 paintings) with the wonderful Rosby Gallery in Mudgee, NSW.

The exhibition opened on Saturday the 6th of September 2025 and runs until the 6th of October.  Come along, enjoy the beautiful new gallery, sip some of Rosby's beautiful wine and take in the stunning gardens.

Group Show

Portia Geach Memorial Award, 2025

My painting of the wonderful Jane Guthleben was selected as one of 60 finalists in the 2025 Portia Geach prize.

The exhibition of finalists opened at the S.H. Ervin Gallery in Sydney on the 18th of September and all works will remain on show until 2nd November 2025

OIL PAINTING WORKSHOPS 2025

Work with me one on one in my Ilford studio

(near Mudgee, NSW Australia)

Enjoy a private, full day oil painting session with my undivided attention and hands-on, step by step guidance in the peaceful NSW countryside.

Located just 200km from Sydney and a short drive from the vibrant town of Mudgee, you will be treated to sweeping views, fresh air, and a one on one focus to build your skills as an oil painter.

Let me take you on a deep dive into how I make an oil painting. You’ll be guided through each stage, from selecting your subject, initial composition, building your underpainting, color mixing right through to finishing details.

What to Expect

  • A full-day (choose either a Saturday or a Sunday) private session in a quiet, light-filled farm-based studio

  • What will we paint?: we will pre-choose your subject, whether it is an animal or human and work on building a strong composition together.

  • Painting Process: Build confidence in oil paint including substrate, colour mixing, structure and brushwork.

  • Finish with a completed portrait and a fresh approach to oil painting

  • Work as a single student or up to groups of 3 (groups organised by you)

Workshop Details

  • When: Saturdays or Sundays, 10am – 4pm

  • Available Dates: Coming soon

  • Prices: $500 for one person or $400pp for 2 or 3 students.

  • Includes: A light lunch, snacks, coffee and all materials

JOINT Art Exhibition

Everyday Magic

‘Everyday Magic’ was a joint exhibition with Karen Backus artist and ceramicist that celebrated art and friendship, glorifying the simple beauty of the everyday.

Both artists draw inspiration from their environment, from found objects and family. Their artworks spark memories of the familiar, evoking feelings of contentment and a sense of belonging.

Presented by Alby & Esthers, Kim Hardings’ solo exhibition, “Hound & Other Muses” represents a love of the familiar and how everyday subjects play directly into each individuals own memories. Kim Harding draws inspiration from her remote upbringing, from incidental and found objects and a love of patterns, family and animals.
